Kebony® Clear

Since 2022, Hout – Bois van Steenberge has been the exclusive distributor of Kebony® in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Kebony® Clear is a premium biobased modified softwood from Norway. Using the patented Kebony® technology — an environmentally friendly process based on a biological liquid (furfuryl alcohol) — the cell structure of the wood is permanently strengthened. During this process, the wood is impregnated and subsequently heated in an oxygen‑reduced environment, where polymerisation takes place. The resulting polymer becomes permanently integrated into the cell walls, creating a material that combines the durability and stability of tropical hardwood with a significantly lower ecological footprint.

Kebony® Clear is low‑maintenance, dimensionally stable, knot‑free and ideal for high‑end interior and exterior applications.
