Wood drenching

Wood drenching is also possible at Hout – Bois van Steenberge. As an ATG and BUtgb certified drenching station, we perform both green and colourless drenching.

to be more specific, the wood is – according to the A2 process – completely immersed in a wood protection product for the prescribed length of time, so that the wood acquires user class A2 and therefore becomes more durable. As this product only penetrates wood to a limited extent, wood drenching is mainly performed on wood that is not going to be exposed to weather and wind.

For this purpose, we work with the water-based product Sarpeco 9+ (green drenching) that ensures that the wood is preventively protected against:

  • Blue stain fungi
  • Wood-destroying fungi
  • Larvae of wood-destroying insects

The drenched wood is easy to recognise by its green colour, but as mentioned earlier, we can also perform colourless drenching.

Wood drenching is often requested when making roofing wood more durable.

We can supply the drenched wood with an ATG certificate and a drenching certificate on request.
