Afromosia (Pericopsis elata) is an exceptionally stable and durable tropical hardwood from West Africa. Its natural colour ranges from golden brown to deep brown, often enriched with fine dark streaks that give the wood a luxurious and elegant appearance. Thanks to its excellent resistance to moisture, fungi and insects, Afromosia is widely used for façade cladding, exterior joinery, decking, parquet flooring and high‑end interior craftsmanship.

With its strength, durability and warm tone, Afromosia is often seen as a premium, FSC‑friendly alternative to teak. The wood is easy to machine and offers highly consistent quality, making it ideal for demanding architectural applications.
