Waanrode – application of ThermoWood® Poplar
In this realisation in Waanrode, ThermoWood® Poplar was applied as an exterior wood solution in a project where durability, dimensional stability and architectural clarity play a central role.
Through the thermal modification process, poplar gains improved resistance to moisture and weather exposure, without the use of chemical treatments. The wood is characterised by a fine, uniform structure and a soft natural tone, contributing to a calm and well‑balanced façade.
Over time, ThermoWood® Poplar develops a consistent grey patina, ensuring a predictable and even ageing process. This project illustrates how thermally modified poplar can be integrated successfully into contemporary exterior applications that require both technical reliability and visual refinement.
