Since 1903, Hout – Bois van Steenberge has been an international wood specialist, importing and delivering rough and processed softwood, panel materials, modified wood and a wide range of finished wood products — always on time — to civil engineering, the packaging industry and major timber merchants.
In our modern production facility, absolute flexibility and advanced customisation are part of what we do. We continue to invest in the latest technologies and provide ongoing training for our employees, ensuring that our customers always receive the best possible service.

Vision
Hout – Bois van Steenberge aims to strengthen its position as the market leader in Belgium for the supply of traditional formwork.
In addition, we aspire to become the European market leader in softwood, panel materials and modified wood. We aim to achieve this through a low‑cost strategy combined with a continuous search for products with higher added value, an in‑depth analysis of purchasing and sales markets, and strong investment in human capital.
We also strive to become the European market leader in offering the widest range of certified wood sourced from sustainably managed forests. Our goal is to trade exclusively in certified wood by 2025.
Hout – Bois van Steenberge is committed to continued investment in sustainable business practices. This includes responsible energy and environmental management, obtaining essential certifications, and actively seeking new ways to operate even more sustainably at all levels. We also aim to promote wood and panel materials as sustainable construction materials and further expand their applications.
