These insulating protective boards are applied against the posts of the timber frame construction to protect the wall against moisture, wind, dust, insects and rodents. In addition, the boards are also acoustic and thermally insulating and can break thermal bridges.

Celit 4D insulation protective boards are made from waste wood from pine trees and are bound with lignin (present in the wood) without the addition of synthetic binding agents. The addition of bitumen emulsion makes them water resistant and gives them a dark brown colour.

Celit 4D boards have a four-sided asymmetrical wedge-shaped tongue and groove joint that provides the water drainage for roof slopes from 18°. The panels are also highly vapour permeable.
